Bio
Prior to coming to Yahoo News, Klaidman was national political correspondent at the The Daily Beast. Klaidman also served in a number of capacities at Newsweek, including: managing editor from 2006 to 2011; Washington bureau chief from 2001 until 2006, where he led its award winning coverage of 9/11 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; Middle East correspondent based in Jerusalem; and investigative reporter in Washington. As a Newsweek correspondent, Klaidman wrote or co-authored dozens of cover stories on topics that included politics, war, foreign policy and legal affairs. He was a key part of the teams that won National Magazine Awards for Newsweek’s coverage of 9/11 and the Monica Lewinsky affair. In 2011, Klaidman was a Ferris Professor of Journalism at Princeton University.  He is the author of Kill or Capture: The War on Terror and the Soul of the Obama Presidency (Houghton, Mifflin Harcourt. 2012.)

Bio
Megan Liberman is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo News. In her role, Liberman puts a laser focus on original reporting, social news gathering, video and live events coverage. She was previously the deputy news editor of The New York Times, where she drove some of the most successful digital initiatives, from its blog network to Nate Silver's multi-platform presence, as well as the live streamed coverage of the 2012 elections.

Prior to her most recent role, she was the deputy editor at The New York Times Magazine and was responsible for all digital features and strategy; directed the magazine's political coverage, supervised other Times magazines and launched the Times' parenting blog, Motherlode. She was also the magazines's first-ever Web Editor. 

Megan graduated with a masters from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and received her bachelors at Barnard College.

Lisa Belkin is the Senior National Correspondent for Yahoo News, covering American social issues.
She joined Yahoo in 2014, after nearly two years as the Senior Correspondent at the Huffington Post, where she reported and opined about life, work and family. Prior to joining HuffPost, she spent nearly 30 years at The New York Times, where she was variously a national correspondent (based in Houston), a medical reporter, a Contributing Writer for The New York Times Magazine (where her editors described her beat as “the social conscience of our times,” and where she coined the phrase “the Opt- Out revolution) and the creator of the Life’s Work column and the Motherlode blog (where reviewers called her “the next generation’s Anna Quindlen.”)
 
The author of three books -- “Life’s Work, Confessions of an Unbalanced Mom”, “Show Me A Hero,” and “First, Do No Harm” -- and the editor of two anthologies, Belkin was also the host of “Life’s Work with Lisa Belkin”, on XM Radio, as well as a regular contributor to Public Radio’s The Takeaway and NBC’s Today Show. A graduate of Princeton University, she has returned there as a visiting professor in the Humanities Council, teaching narrative non-fiction as an instrument of social change. Her own personal life/work balance includes her husband, Bruce, her two mostly grown sons.

Matt Bai is Yahoo's national political columnist, offering unique commentary and deep analysis of politics in Washington and around the country.

Bai is the former chief political correspondent for the New York Times Magazine, which he joined in 2012, and has covered the last three presidential campaigns. His work is known to connect politics to larger trends in technology, society and pop culture, and his writing often centers on themes of generational change. 

Bai’s second book, tentatively titled “All the Truth Is Out: The Fall of Gary Hart and the Rise of Tabloid Journalism,” will be published by Alfred A. Knopf in the fall of 2014. He is also the author of “The Argument: Inside the Battle to Remake Democratic Politics,” a New York Times Notable Book for 2007.

 His “Political Times” column has appeared in the paper and online since 2010.  His work has twice been honored in The Best American Political Writing.  He has appeared frequently on such programs as “Meet the Press” and “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” and in several “Frontline” documentaries on PBS. He is expected to be a major presence for Yahoo News across all media platforms.

Garance Franke-Ruta is the Washington Editor at Yahoo News where she works with Yahoo News' team of reporters to further develop and grow original content and political news coverage. Franke-Ruta comes to Yahoo News from The Atlantic, where she was a senior editor covering national politics. 

Franke-Ruta has also worked at The Washington Post, The American Prospect, The Washington City Paper, The New Republic and National Journal magazines. She was named one of the top 140 Tweeters of 2013 by Time magazine and in 2012 led the Atlantic politics team, editing coverage that contributed to TheAtlantic.com receiving the 2013 National Magazine Award for Best Website. In 2007, she and other contributors to The American Prospect 's blog "Tapped" won the Hillman Prize. In 2006, she was a fellow at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Mass. Franke-Ruta has lectured at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Harvard Art Museums, Williams College, Wellesley College, Brandeis and Georgetown Universities, and taught in Georgetown's Master of Professional Studies in Journalism program. She has also has made numerous appearances on national and regional television and radio programs. Born in the South of France, Franke-Ruta grew up in San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico; New York City; and Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has lived and worked in Washington, D.C., since graduating from Harvard in 1997.

Olivier Knox was recently named Chief Washington Corespondent for Yahoo News. Olivier played a key role for Yahoo! News during the 2012 Election. He also co-hosts "Top Line" a Yahoo News - ABC News original program. Olivier has covered some of the world's biggest news stories over his nearly 16 years as a reporter with Agence France–Presse, starting with Bill Clinton's impeachment and Al Gore's presidential campaign. He covered all eight years of George W. Bush's time in the White House, was with him in Sarasota on that sunny Tuesday morning September 11th, 2001 and again when an angry journalist in Baghdad hurled his shoes at the president.  Olivier has a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is the son of a French mother and an American father and became a reporter after a lifetime of trying to explain the United States to his French friends and France to his American friends.
